The WCA has been working to improve the park. This will be done in phases. Phase 1 is to repair all critical elements including the removal of iron wood trees that were deemed dangerous for park users. Also critical is the connection of  water system to the Board of Water Supply to assure a safe and reliable potable water supply. This need became clear when the recent Kona Low storms contaminated the water system servicing the park leaving the park without water for several weeks.

In the months ahead the WCA will be developing a master plan for the park to create a warm, safe and inviting place for community users. The WCA welcomes community input and will be reaching out to the community in the near future.
