PAINT, LAUGH & CREATE!

No artistic experience needed—just come ready to have fun!

Join us for another WCA painting event and discover how much fun creating your own artwork can be. Our art instructor will guide you step by step, from the first brushstroke to a beautiful finished painting you’ll be proud to take home.

Our previous painting events have been a wonderful success, bringing friends, family, and neighbors together for an evening of creativity, laughter, and good company.

You don’t have to be an artist. That’s part of the fun! Come as you are, enjoy the company of others, and you may be surprised by what you can create.

Come for the painting. Stay for the laughter. Leave with your own work of art!

Another Successful Work Day at Puʻuiki

Building on the success of our first volunteer work day, WCA Board members, community volunteers, family and friends returned to Puʻuiki Beach Park on August 29 for another productive day of work on the park's exterior wooden fence.

Once again, the weather seemed to be on our side. Beautiful cloud cover and a steady breeze kept the day comfortable as the crew continued the hard work begun during our first work day.

What was especially impressive this time was how naturally everyone worked together. The team moved in almost synchronized unity, with people stepping in wherever they were needed and one task flowing into the next. Under the continuing leadership of WCA Vice President Leif Andersen, the work progressed steadily as more of the new fence posts were installed and another important section of the project moved forward.

Our first work day showed just how much can be accomplished when people come together with a common purpose. This second work day proved that the spirit and enthusiasm were still going strong. Some came with particular skills, others brought willing hands, and everyone contributed to the same goal: caring for Puʻuiki and making the park better for the community.

Just as important as the work itself was the camaraderie. There was plenty of hard labor, but also laughter, conversation, good food and the satisfaction of looking back at the end of the day and seeing what had been accomplished together.

There is still more fence to complete and more work ahead at Puʻuiki, but for now our hardworking crew will take a well-deserved break over the Labor Day weekend. The date of our next Puʻuiki work day will be announced soon.

WCA extends a heartfelt mahalo to everyone who has participated in our first two work days and to those who have contributed labor, equipment, food, supplies, encouragement and aloha.

Each new post in the ground represents more than a new fence. It represents neighbors, families and generations working together to care for a place entrusted to our community.

Mahalo a nui loa to our Puʻuiki crew. Two successful work days down, and together we are making a difference.

Next work day to be announced. We will continue work on the fence. 7:30 AM to 12:00N
