Puu Aloha

The Waialua Community Associationʻs new outdoor entertainment stage is near completion. The idea of for this rockwall stage was the vision of President Leif Andersen to have an area where the community can come and enjoy entertainment outdoors. Kumu Hula Keith Awai and his Halau, Kawaipuilani, did a short dedication ceremony where the name “Puu Aloha” was officially given to this new stage area. The first planned activity will be a Hoʻike featuring the performances of the Hula Halaus who practice at the WCA to be held in September. Shown seated on the wall from left to right is Valinda Morton -WCA Landscaper, Manu Anana – WCA Secretary, Naomi Ramirez – WCA Trustee, Laai Felix – Kumu Hula, Leif Andersen – WCA President, Kawika Sanchez -WCA Maintenance and Derek Ragragola – WCA Trustee and Buildings and Grounds Chair. Mahalo piha Kali Fifita and his crew for the beautiful stone work and to all who made this possible.
