Longtime WCA supporter. Assisted as project coordinator for landscape and irrigation renovation of the South lawn and building perimeter planters in 1990's. Led also the landscape tree planting for the Weinberg Village next door. Provided illustrated talk, for hundreds of attendees, on Waialua Sugar Plantation history and assisted, in 2012, in revision of the current by-laws. Have served as a Trustee for several years and, through February 2019, as Treasurer.


Born in Virginia, parents from McKinney TX, lived in 8 states before finishing high school in 1970. Met Antya Miller of Waialua at LSU, married in 1974, have one son. Moved to Waialua in late '70's, also served as a part-time philosophy & humanities instructor at Penn State. We moved to Pupukea in the early '80's. I recently retired from 32 years of self-employment as a Hawaii landscape contractor and certified arborist. I volunteer to lead historic walking tours of Haleiwa.


I serve, for 2018-2019, on the USDA Farm Service Agency State Committee, I have been a director beginning in the mid-80's, and served 6 years as President, of the Landscape Industry Council of Hawaii, and continue as Emeritus Director. I served for several years on the Community Associations Institute Board of Directors (condominium board and management training organization). I serve on the Neighborhood Board Agriculture Committee and the North Shore Chamber of Commerce Historic Preservation Committee. I am an officer of the Hawaii Republican Party and was recently (2018) a candidate in the Primary Election for State Representative from our District 47.
