Volunteer Members

The Association would not be able to operate without volunteer members.  In fact, the Board of Trustees is comprised of a group of unpaid volunteer members. Though they receive no salary, they are responsible for the operation of this organization and managing its annual budget.  Volunteers are also the key to operations through committees, as well as vital to the success of community events.

Roberts Rules

You're right, those three officers can't "dissolve" the board, and certainly not in that way.... It's when controversy arises that Robert's Rules can play an important role.

New Board Members elected at Annual Membership Meeting, bylaws ratified

We are please to announce that La'ai Felix and Antya Miller have both been re-elected by the membership and have agreed to continue serving as Trustees on the WCA board
.
We are delighted to welcome our newly elected board members: Leif Anderson, Manu Anana, Manny Vierra, each elected to serve for a 3-year term and Steve Melendez, who has been elected to serve for a 1-year term.

Copies of the proposed bylaws were available to all members at our Annual Membership meeting, held in January 2012, as well as posted on our website to view and print. An advance announcement of our special bylaws meeting was printed in the NSN, WCA website and Facebook in December 2011. Members who attended the special bylaws meeting discussed changes made to the Association's bylaws and then voted to ratify. The current version of the Bylaws has been accepted by the membership.

To view and/or print a copy of the bylaws, click on our "documents" tab above, then onto our "Current Working Bylaws" link on the left side or our page.
